What is the Citizen Pledge? A voluntary commitment to do your best, each and every day, to keep COVID-19 at bay.
Why Take the Pledge? Healthy communities are a shared responsibility. Following general best practices will help protect you and slow the spread of COVID-19 to others.
How Can You Show Support? Show others you’re doing your part to fight COVID-19 by applying the Show Me Strong Pledge frame to your Facebook and Instragram profile pictures.
When you take the Pledge, you are agreeing to do your best, each and every day, to keep COVID-19 at bay.
The best practice guidelines below were developed by healthcare organizations, and your local municipality or health department may have more stringent requirements you will need to follow.
In accordance with CDC recommendations, you are strongly encouraged to maintain six feet of physical separation whenever possible.
COVER COUGHS & SNEEZES
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash. Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
FEELING SICK? STAY HOME
Stay home if you are sick, except to seek medical care.
Practice self-care. Ask your friends and family how they are managing their self-care. Physically distance while continuing social relationships.
